  3. You say “affirmative” and “negative” instead of “yes” or “no.”
  4. You say “your controls” when you hand the TV remote to your roommate.
  5. You have something on your car that says “I’d Rather Be Flying.”

  7. TAFs and METARs are your primary source of weather, even when you’re not flight planning.
  8. You’ve subconsciously created an engine-shutdown checklist for your car. Gear- PARK. Lights- OFF. Air Vents – CLOSED. Windows- UP. Seatbelts- OFF. Ignition- OFF.
  9. Your internet home page is DUATS.com.
  10. You sit at the end of a runway and watch airplanes for fun.
  11. You get annoyed when people don’t use the phonetic alphabet.
  12. You’re the only one in your family that thinks the movie “Airplane” is still funny.
  13. Your Christmas list includes foggles and instrument-themed coasters.
  14. You have a model airplane collection.
  15. You listen to live ATC feeds online when you can’t be at the airport.
