The Wright Flyer made its first flight in 1903 in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.

2.Curtiss Jenny Airmail

Curtiss Jenny Airmail plane took off from Washington D.C. on May 15, 1918. It was the first day of schedule airmail service.

3. Vickers Vimy

The first nonstop flight across the Atlantic was made in the Vickers Vimy aircraft in 1919 by British pilots John Alcock and Arthur Brown.

4. Heinkel He 178

In 1939 the first jet-powered flight was made in the Heinkel He 178. The He 178 was also the first practical turbojet aircraft.

5. Pan Am

In 1958 Pan Am became first airline to offer passenger jet service with the Boeing 707. The first flight was from New York to Paris.

6. Concorde

The first supersonic passenger aircraft, the Concorde, flew in March, 1969.

7. Predator

In January 1994, General Atomics was given the military contract to develop the Predator, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that would serve as the primary UAV for U.S. military operations during the post-2011 war in Afghanistan.
