Kristoffer Johnson, PEA CEO, BTS shot during filming day of EmpoweredPhoenix East Aviation appeared in the most recent episode of Empowered. There has been a long standing idea that becoming a pilot is an unattainable goal, and for many, it seems like a dream. However PEA’s feature on the show delved deeper into how that is no longer the case, and how becoming a professional pilot now more than ever, is important to help close the pilot shortage gap that is occurring. “Zero to Hero” is a term often used to describe the training at PEA. An aspiring pilot can go from having absolutely no flying experience, to being ready to take on the skies confidently. Beyond just teaching them how to fly, PEA prepares their students for a successful career as a pilot, “PEA has been training pilots for 50 years and is well-established in the aviation industry,” said CEO Kristoffer Johnson. “A career in aviation is accessible for everyone with the right training and determination as the demand for air travel is increasing, the demand for pilots soars.”

PEA’s state-of-the art facilities and diverse student body sets themselves apart from other flight schools in Florida along with a fleet of over 65 aircraft including Diamond DA-42s and Piper Senecas for multi-engine, and Cessna 172s for single-engine training. The school further enhances the educational experience by integrating innovative MzeroA Online Ground School into its curriculum, “to make sure that students are receiving the complete suite of learning… and now with the online ground school, many of our students are doing it from home, and some even their home countries before they even come to PEA, so when they hop into an airplane they can apply it right away,” said Jason Schappert, the President and Founder of MzeroA Online Ground School who also appeared in PEA’s segment on Empowered. This blended learning approach leverages modern technology to optimize student learning. PEA’s global footprint attracts aspiring pilots from 65 different nationalities, creating a truly inclusive “global village” atmosphere. While any program can provide flight training, PEA’s accreditation status and self-examining authority ensures students learn how to become pilots in a safe and supportive environment fit for their individual needs and goals.
