A Former PEA Flight Instructor, Now Flying with Delta Airlines

It’s helpful to hear from graduates of a flight school have to say about their experience — after all, who knows it better than someone who has been there, and in the case of Phoenix East Aviation (PEA) graduates, who have suceeded in achieving their lifelong dream to be an airline pilot.

That’s the case with another former member of the Phoenix East team. Shannon Connolly spent a few years instructing at PEA, and then was hired by Pinnacle Airlines in 2004 as a First Officer.  She was then upgraded to Captain after only 18 months.

When the major airlines began hiring many pilots again in 2008, Shannon applied to a number of them. She was quickly offered a job flying for Continental Airlines AND ALSO was offered a job flying for Delta Airlines. After much consideration, she decided to join Delta Airlines as a First Officer. Shannon says “I have been with Delta for a little over a year, flying the MC-88 based in New York City. I love flying and am very happy at Delta Airlines.”

Another successful Phoenix East Aviation pilot.  If you’d like more information on how you can become an airline pilot like Shannon Connolly, see www.pea.com or call PEA at 1-800-868-4359.
