A&P Mechanic

Summary: Perform aircraft maintenance and accurately complete all aircraft paperwork to insure safety in a timely manner.
  • Able to use FAA approved data i.e. IPC, MM, OHM, SRM proficiently.
  • Required to follow maintenance lead for the “efficient” performance of their assigned duties.
  • Ensure that safety is the primary factor in maintenance performed and that, regardless of scheduling, the maintenance performed on an aircraft, powerplant or airframe, was performed safely and IAW applicable FAA regulations and Company requirements, prior to the approval for return to service.
  • Responsible to ensure that the maintenance and documenting of maintenance performed is done in accordance with the FAA regulations and company policy/procedures, as applicable for the tasks they perform.
  • Ensure that they do not perform maintenance on an aircraft, powerplant or airframe that they are not qualified on, in accordance with the applicable FAA regulations.
  • Ensure that facilities, aircraft, ground support equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner and IAW company standards.
  • Ensure that maintenance records entries for “work performed” are completed properly and IAW FAA requirements and applicable company policies and or procedures.
  • Ensure that that maintenance records are submitted in a timely manner and IAW company policy, as applicable.
  • This position may be responsible for training the A&P Apprentice(s).

Flight Training Compliance Officer

  • Responsible for assuring compliance with FAA, FARs and Safety regulations, making recommendations and updates as required.
  • Review and update company publications to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Aid instructor pilots and student pilots in reaching their training objectives.
  • Conduct training oversight as directed by the FTD.
  • Conduct initial and recurrent standardization of flight instructors.
  • Conduct student progress reviews.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with flight instructors as necessary.
  • Review and correct training records for accuracy and proper completion as necessary.
  • Participate in recruitment, interviews, and recommendations of prospect flight instructors.
  • Requires: High School Diploma; 1-year experience as Instructor in Part 141 School.
  • Experience must include 1000 flight hours.
  • Commercial Pilot License with Airplane Single Engine, Airplane Multiengine, and Instrument Airplane ratings.
  • Certified Flight Instructor License with Airplane Single Engine, Airplane Multiengine, Instrument Airplane ratings.
  • FAA approval for a stage check and authority.
  • Must be able to work varying hours including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
